. . . in order.
As I stated when starting to work with the RangerXpress, there will be many bad rail jokes in this campaign.
In any event, the first question -- you -- and I -- ask, is this possible? Can a citizen generated transit initiative happen?
Well, if you want an answer, the 2008 race for the democratic nomination says it all. Looking at this as an outside observer, outside of your own political beliefs, an once unknown candidate is heading toward victory over the candidate who was assumed to be unbeatable.
Transit is a bipartisan issue. Both Democrats and Republicans want to assess our nation's needs, just as the RangerXpress concept was created by Republicans -- who choose a Democrat to manage the campaign.
We, the people of Colorado, love our state. We all have stories of friends who live elsewhere, outside of the American West, visiting -- and being awestruck by Colorado. Most of all, we're waking up to the simple fact that is we want the Colorado we love today, to be here tomorrow for our children, we need to find unique solutions to the problems facing Colorado today.
The RangerXpress, by creating a state-wide passenger rail system does just that. Would you rather be with your friends and/or family on slick I-70, as snow falls -- or would you prefer to be relaxing on a train, safe and comfortable?
If you don't want to wait another 20 years to travel Colorado by train, and want to do so soon as possible -- then get on board. Email our website to your friends, challenge your friends to match your donation -- be it $10 or $100, and if you have the time -- volunteer to help out.
We're ready to make this happen -- and need you to get on board.
I'm ready to start this journey. I know we can win, and most of all, I look forward to creating a better future for Colorado and my children.

New site looks great. When do I get my Roaring Fork valley train ? Is the ballot initiative going to be statewide, or just cover the regions the Xpress will be travelling.
nice blog, yes I too am in the Roaring Fork and would love to see the train. I am actually 3 blocks from the Amtrak station (which I assume would be the station for future trains) would be very nice. It would be great to board a train for Denver and be there when I need to be (morning, afternoon or evening) and on time without having to drive over the passes.
Also I heard they may be voting on high speed rail in California as well. Any news on this?
Also, if you need any web design or graphics design work done I would be interested to help out, I can also do video or 3d renders. http://homepage.mac.com/me_crazy
I noticed on your main site (rangerexpress.com) the map shows amtrak going along I70 from dotsero, where in fact in goes towards kremling and to grandby/winter park. Also, would it go through glenwood canyon or over cottonwood pass? that would be like the old west and a very nice train ride.
