Can a citizen generated transit initiative happen?

Well, if you want an answer, the 2008 race for the democratic nomination says it all. Looking at this as an outside observer, outside of your own political beliefs, an once unknown candidate is heading toward victory over the candidate who was assumed to be unbeatable.

Transit is a bipartisan issue. Both Democrats and Republicans want to assess our nation's needs, just as the RangerXpress concept was created by Republicans -- who choose a Democrat to manage the campaign.

We, the people of Colorado, love our state. We all have stories of friends who live elsewhere, outside of the American West, visiting -- and being awestruck by Colorado. Most of all, we're waking up to the simple fact that is we want the Colorado we love today, to be here tomorrow for our children, we need to find unique solutions to the problems facing Colorado today.

The RangerXpress, by creating a state-wide passenger rail system does just that. Would you rather be with your friends and/or family on slick I-70, as snow falls -- or would you prefer to be relaxing on a train, safe and comfortable?

If you don't want to wait another 20 years to travel Colorado by train, and want to do so soon as possible -- then get on board. Email our website to your friends, challenge your friends to match your donation -- be it $10 or $100, and if you have the time -- volunteer to help out.

We're ready to make this happen -- and need you to get on board.

I'm ready to start this journey. I know we can win, and most of all, I look forward to creating a better future for Colorado and my children.

Mark Richert
Campaign Manager
RangerXpress
